Oscar Piastri qualified third in Abu Dhabi, but his starting position could still change if the stewards judge he hindered Pierre Gasly at Turn 4 in his decisive attempt in the final.
Oscar Piastri (3rd): “Difficult qualification. A very busy weekend, somewhat chaotic. We have speed, but I made a lot of mistakes. Even on the last fast lap I made a small mistake in the last corner trying to get a front row seat.
The car is very fast this weekend. The situation is the opposite of what we had in Las Vegas, so we are happy to qualify in the top three.
I don’t know what we can count on in the race, but every team can say that. I don’t think most of us have completed more than five laps in a row this weekend, so it will be interesting to see how things develop in the race.”
