Ferrari driver carlos sainz won the tenth round of the Formula 1 championship – the British Grand Prix.
Second place was taken Sergio Perez of Red Bull, the third – Lewis Hamilton (“Mercedes”). Red Bull leader Max Verstappen finished seventh.
In the first lap there was an accident in which Alexander Albon (Williams), Esteban Ocon (Alpin), Yuki Tsunoda (Alfa Tauri), George Russell (Mercedes) and Guanyu Zhou (Alfa Romeo) took part. The Guanyu car overturned on the track, the driver on a stretcher was taken to the ambulance and taken to the medical center. Later, Alfa Romeo reported the driver to the medical center as conscious. The restart of the race did not take place until an hour later. On lap 28, Pierre Gasly (Alfa Tauri) retired.
The next stage of the Grand Prix will take place in Austria from July 8 to 10.
