The Ferrari-AF Corse team has confirmed that three 499P hypercars will be at the start of next year’s World Endurance Championship.
So far it has been officially announced that two of them, like last season, will compete under the numbers 50 and 51. The first two drivers have also been confirmed: the Italians Antonio Fuoco and Alessandro Pier Guidi, who will compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year. Ferrari also promises to announce the composition of the remaining crews soon.
An important point is that the FIA selection committee has allowed the third Ferrari 499P sports prototype to participate in the WEC, which has now been assigned number 83. It is also known that one of the drivers who will pilot will be Robert Kubica.
Next year the WEC season will consist of eight stages, namely: there will be one more race than in 2023. The Losail Circuit in Qatar will host a prologue from February 24 to 25, followed by a race called Qatar 1812km on March 2. The first stage will be followed by races in Imola (April 21), Spa (May 11), Le Mans (June 15-16), Sao Paulo (July 14), Austin (September 1), Fuji (September 15) and Bahrain ( November 2nd).
