Every year, Formula 1 teams pay an entry fee to the FIA for the right to start the following season. The cost of entrance fees is not included in the budget limits and consists of two parts: the basic amount and the payment for each point earned in the previous season.
According to regulations, the 2024 base entry fee for each team is $657,837, an increase of 6.5% from last year. The winner of the Constructors’ Championship must pay $7,893 for each point earned, while all other teams will pay $6,575 for each point earned.
For example, the Red Bull Racing team, which won the constructors’ championship with 860 points, will pay a record amount of $7,445,817. In total, all teams will pay the FIA $23,873,200 for the right to participate in the 2024 season.
