Valentino Rossi will make his WEC debut in 2024

Valentino Rossi, the legendary Italian motorcycle racer and nine-time world champion, will move to the WEC next year, where he will compete in the LMGT3 category for Team WRT and drive a BMW M4 GT3 sports car.

In November, Rossi, who turns 45 in two and a half months, took part in the rookie tests held in Bahrain after the WEC final, and apparently did well as the Belgian team entrusted him with an even more important task than competing at the WEC final. “I am very happy to be participating in the FIA ​​WEC,” said Rossi. – Participating in this championship is the next step for me, as I have to race all over the world, and not just in Europe. In 2024, WRT will field four cars at the start of the WEC: two sports prototypes from the BMW M Hybrid V8 LMDh class and two BMW M4 GT3 sports cars.
