Shvartsman: I got caught in traffic, but I had pace

Robert Schwartzman returned behind the wheel of Ferrari on Tuesday at the youth tests in Abu Dhabi. The driver drove two race distances (123 laps) and set the eighth fastest time. Robert will return to the wheel of a Formula 1 car in 2024.

Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc will distribute the day test tires for next season, which will be identical to the 2023 compounds. Both worked under the Pirelli program and achieved the fifth and tenth fastest times respectively.

Robert Schwartzman (8th): “It was a busy day, but I really enjoyed driving the car. We did a lot of testing, ran a race simulation and worked on a series of fast laps. Everything went very well, but unfortunately I got stuck in traffic on the last fast lap in the third sector. It’s a shame, but we all know this happens sometimes. I’m still happy because I had the pace.

I would like to thank the team for giving me the opportunity to drive this car. As always it was a pleasure to work with them. And thank you very much to all the fans.

I’m a little tired, but very happy. See you next year. Merry christmas!”
