To celebrate the end of the season in Abu Dhabi, more than half of the Formula 1 drivers gathered for a special dinner dedicated to this event, and they chose the same Hakkasan restaurant where Sebastian Vettel was seen a year ago.
But this time Max Verstappen, now three-time world champion, who achieved his 19th victory of the season at the Yas Marina Circuit, was not at the table. His partner Sergio Perez was also unable to join the meal – presumably the champion Red Bull Racing team celebrated his achievements elsewhere in his own way.
Guanyu Zhou shared a photo on social networks showing 11 riders and another chair at the table that was empty, although there was also a table set. It seems that such a collective celebration of important events is becoming a good tradition and in general speaks of quite normal relations that bind the participants of the championship outside the racing circuits.
“It has been a long season with some successes and many challenges, but I thank everyone at Alfa Romeo for their hard work and we will come back stronger next year!” – so Zhou commented on a selection of photos dedicated to the final in Abu Dhabi, including one taken in a restaurant. But he didn’t add anything specific about this dinner.
Just over three months remain until the start of the next championship, which will again conclude with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Pre-orders for tickets for the 2024 race are already open.
