Trevor Carlin has left the team that bears his name.

British manager Trevor Carlin’s name is strongly associated with youth racing series, as many drivers who went on to become world stars competed in his teams in the early stages of their careers. The full list of their names is very long, so we can limit ourselves to mentioning only Robert Kubica, Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg, Daniel Ricciardo, Carlos Sainz, George Russell, Lando Norris and Liam Lawson.

This lasted more than a quarter of a century, although during this time Carlin managed to work in other championships, for example, in Formula 1. In the first half of 2005 he was the head of Jordan, when Eddie Georgean’s team was taken over by Alex Schneider, a Canadian businessman with Russian roots. But after seven races of the season, Carlin returned to his company Carlin Racing, because his element was working with young people.

But it seems that this chapter in his biography has ended: in November it was announced that Trevor Carlin had left the company he founded in 1996. In January we wrote that Australian company Rodin Cars had acquired a controlling stake in Carlin Racing and its owner, billionaire David Dicker, became a new investor in the team, now called Rodin Carlin.

But as is clear from the official documents of Companies House, the British registration chamber, on November 8, Trevor Carlin left his position as director of Rodin Motorsport – it is the company that now owns the Rodin Carlin teams that compete in Formula 2 .F3 and other youth series.

Following Carlin’s departure, the company will be led by David Dicker and Emma Duncan, who were previously CEO of Rodin Cars.

In any case, the name Trevor Carlin will not remain alone in the history of motorsport: the teams they founded (at least for the time being) are called Rodin Carlin, and his other business project, the British company Carlin Performance, specialized in the extensive preparation of racing equipment for competitions, continues to operate, its storage and maintenance.
