At the end of the season, Sergio Perez became vice world champion, but lost 290 points to Max Verstappen. The Red Bull Racing driver told us in which areas he needs to improve to challenge his teammate in 2024.
Sergio Perez: “I think I showed very, very good form on Sunday this year. This is the only reason why I came second in the championship. It is absolutely certain that I had serious problems in the qualifying. This area needs to receive the most attention to improve in the new year.
The team dominated, but the season proved difficult for me. I am confident that we will have a fast car in 2024 and I hope that my results will be more balanced and that the team will continue to dominate.
Overall, I’m grateful for a difficult season. I learned a lot about the car and started to understand Red Bull’s philosophy better. I really hope it all pays off next year.”
