Red Bull driver and Formula 1 leader Max Verstappen became the winner of the first free practice session of the Austrian Grand Prix.
The Dutchman set his fastest lap in Spielberg in 1 minute 6.302 seconds. He managed to get ahead Charles Leclerc to Ferrari (+0.255) and george russell on Mercedes (+0.400), which completes the top three.
Also in the top five were Mexicans Sergio Perez and Lewis Hamilton, who lost 0.607 seconds to Verstappen.
Later Friday as part of the Austrian Grand Prix qualifying will take place.
