American driver Sargent has taken the last vacant seat in Formula 1 for the 2024 season

American runner Logan Sargent will continue to compete for Williams in the upcoming Formula 1 season, the team’s press service reports.

Sargent made his first season in the championship in 2023, earning one point in 22 races. The 22-year-old driver claimed the only point of his career during his United States Grand Prix in Austin after Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) and Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) were disqualified after the race. Sargent became the first American in 30 years to score points in Formula One.

“I am very excited to continue working for the Williams team during the 2024 season.” The past year has been an incredible adventure and I am grateful to have the opportunity to continue to develop as a driver with such a great and promising team. “We have exciting plans for the future and I look forward to contributing to the team’s success next year,” Sargent told Williams’ press service.

The American’s partner will once again be Thai driver Alexander Albon.

Sargent took the last vacant place among the drivers for the upcoming Formula 1 season. All teams have valid contracts with the drivers.
