The organizers of the Japanese Super Formula series have published an entry list for the tests to be held at the Suzuka Circuit from December 6 to 8, which also includes official tests for newcomers.
There are at least two household names on this list: Theo Pourcher, who won the Formula 2 title just over a week ago, and Ayumu Iwasa. We said he will continue his career in Super Formula.
Pourcher will test with Team Impul on Wednesday and Thursday and it is believed he will continue his career in the Japanese series as the Sauber Academy student has not yet managed to get into Formula 1.
“I am very happy that I was able to participate in the Super Formula rookie test in Suzuka this week,” said Theo. “I’m looking forward to getting to know a new circuit, a new car and a new team. It will be an incredibly interesting experience!”
Ayumu Iwase is supported not only by Red Bull, but also by Honda and will therefore drive the car of Team Mugen, which traditionally has close ties with the Japanese car giant, all three days.
