Head of Mercedes Toto Wolf auction a limited edition IWC Big Pilot watch.
The watch, which Wolff helped develop, has a frosted glass dial and a “ceramic titanium” case and crown. The red ring around the crown is also a contribution to Wolff’s design and a reference to the red cap worn by F1 legend Niki Lauda. Only 100 copies of this watch were produced.
“The final design is exactly as I envisioned it, and I’m happy to donate this special watch to the auction,” Wolff said as quoted by Autoevolution.
As noted, proceeds will go to a fund to support racial diversity in Formula 1.
