Lando Norris: “I think the orange in the stands is in honor of McLaren! (laughs) Although I agree that part of the audience is fans of Max Verstappen. And yet there are many spectators who support McLaren and me personally. It is of course great that there are so many spectators in the stands, and let’s hope we can put on an interesting show for them.
McLaren cars have always done well on the Austrian circuit, although I don’t know why. Moreover, it suits my way of managing. In previous years I have been able to perform well here on more than one occasion and I hope that today we will see some sort of continuation of this tradition.
We’ll see how it develops, but I just want to get the most out of the race and try to earn points. I think I can regain a few positions, and if I can even get ahead of the Haas riders, I’m fine with that.
Last year in Austria I was on the podium and it was a very happy event. But for the first time in my career I was also on the podium at this track, I like it here and I am very happy to be able to ride the Red Bull Ring for many years in a row.
