WEC: Ye Yifei signs with Ferrari

Ye Yifei, a 23-year-old Chinese driver with three years of endurance racing experience, will become Ferrari’s factory driver in 2024, the Italian company’s press service announced. It is emphasized that the details of his sports program will be announced later.

Since 2021, Yifei has competed in several endurance racing series, mainly driving LMP2 class sports prototypes. That year he won the Asian Le Mans Series as a member of the Russian team G-Drive Racing. But in 2023 he already made his debut in LMDh, the highest category of the WEC, and spent the season driving the Porsche 963 hypercar of the British team Jota.

Ye Yifei: “I was very happy when I heard that I would officially become a Ferrari driver. My old dream comes true. Of course, I can open a new chapter in my sporting career together with the team from Maranello.”

Antonio ColettaHead of the Ferrari Endurance Program: “We are pleased to invite Yifei to Ferrari as he is a driver who, despite his young age, has already attracted attention as one of the fastest in the WEC.

Yifei has achieved excellent results throughout his endurance racing career and we are confident that now that he has joined the Ferrari family, we can achieve great things together.”
