In 2023, Alex Albon achieved points in seven Sunday races and one Saturday sprint. The Williams driver believes that there was only one race last season in which he had a chance to earn points, but he did not take advantage of it.
Alex Albon: “I am very proud of what we have achieved as a team. I remember all the races in which we earned points, and not one of them can be said to have achieved this result without any problems. I would like to see more successful races like this.
Every weekend this season we felt like we had a chance to score points, even if the race pace wasn’t particularly fast. Still, we earned points. I think the only race this year where I missed out on points was Melbourne.
As for the rest of the races, when we had opportunities for points, we took them. I think this was the main difference between Williams and our direct competitors.”
