When we talked about how Yas Marina Circuit prepared for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix before the season finale, we also mentioned the new LED lighting system.
At the time, we quoted Saif Al Noaimi, managing director of Ethara, the national promoter of the FIFA World Cup, as saying: “We recently replaced all floodlights at the Yas Marina Circuit with a new LED lighting system, reducing overall energy consumption by 30%.
This new system will also deliver a vibrant light show, with something special happening every day of the weekend, and we can’t wait to give audiences an unforgettable experience.”
Since only the fans who were at the track during the season finale could fully see the capabilities of the new system, they now decided to please everyone with a specially recorded video capturing this light show in all its glory.
The annotation to the video states that the track lighting system was developed in collaboration with Musco Lighting and will not only reduce energy consumption but also achieve a 34% increase in overall efficiency.
