McLaren had a strong second half of 2023, with its drivers regularly battling for the top three. Oscar Piastri expects the team to look even stronger next season.
Oscar Piastri: “Our team performed much better in the second half of the season. We expect to be able to compete even more next year, or at least to have just as good weekends as in 2023. But I think Mercedes and Ferrari have about the same expectations.
We will do our best to start the new season better than this year. I feel like I have gained more experience and hope that I can use this experience in any situation we find ourselves in.
I certainly know more now than I did at the beginning of the year. I still have some work to do in racing, but I feel like I’m slowly getting closer to my goal. I’m happy with how I’m performing on the court.
Next year I will already know all the routes. This season I left every race knowing that I knew a lot more than before the weekend started. I hope we will perform even stronger next year.”
