Arthur Leclerc leaves the Ferrari Racing Academy

Ferrari has announced several changes to its 2024 youth program.

Marco Massata, who has led the Ferrari Racing Academy since 2018, is resigning from his position. He will be replaced by the experienced Jock Klea, who has been Ferrari’s chief racing engineer in recent years.

Arthur Leclerc, the younger brother of Scuderia driver Charles Leclerc, has been excluded from the Ferrari Racing Academy. However, the team statement emphasized that Arthur “will remain in the Ferrari family.” James Wharton, who competed in Formula 4 last season, was also expelled from the academy.

In 2024, the Ferrari Racing Academy will still be represented by six participants in the various youth series. Oliver Berman will continue to compete in Formula 2, and Dino Beganovic will continue to compete in Formula 3. Rafael Camara and Tuuka Taponen will spend the season in the FRECA series, and Aurelia Nobels and Maia Voig will compete in the women’s F1 Academy .
