The income distribution in Formula 1 is a trade secret; the size of payments can only be assessed using indirect data, but these are sufficient to make an estimate.
50% of Formula 1 revenue went to the owner of the commercial rights, the remaining 50% is shared between the teams depending on the position in the constructors’ championship – from 14% for first place to 6% for 10th place.
5% – Ferrari receives for the duration of performances. Teams that have been successful in recent years also receive an extra bonus.
After bonuses are deducted this year, the teams will split approximately $1 billion in the following proportions.
