On the eve of the tenth anniversary of the tragic incident in the Alps, which left Michael Schumacher with serious head injuries, the German publication Bild published a series of articles about the seven-time world champion.
The first piece describes the known facts about the accident and reveals some previously unknown details about the driver’s treatment. According to the publication, Michael receives 24-hour home care. His former office has a medical office with all necessary equipment. The team that cares for him every day consists of 15 people: doctors and assistants.
Bild also claims that Schumacher played a recording of his radio conversations from his Formula 1 days and was driven around the area in a roaring Mercedes-AMG road car. This was done to stimulate the brain with sounds that were familiar to Michael from his sports career.
In a recent interview with La Stampa, former Ferrari boss and Schumacher’s friend Jean Todt spoke about Michael’s condition: “I visit him regularly and we used to watch races on TV.
But when asked “How is he?” it is impossible to find the answer because the answer may not exist. It’s better to keep everything private. All I can say is that I love Michael and his family, and their right to privacy must be respected.”
