On the ten-year anniversary of the tragic incident in the Alps that changed Michael Schumacher’s life, many are remembering the seven-time world champion. Among them is Sebastian Vettel, who told the details of his last conversation with Michael.
Sebastian Vettel: “It’s still very difficult for me, but I don’t want to say that I have come to terms with what happened because Michael continues to struggle. Of course I wish him nothing but the best.
I think a lot about what happened and often think about my last conversation with Michael. Now I understand that this conversation could not have been more pleasant than it actually was. I told Michael that I was going to be a father and what awaited us. I really appreciate that Michael and I have become close.
We got to know each other better and it turned out that racing is not the main topic that connects us; we have a lot in common in everyday life. I miss my friend.”
