Since 2016, fans determine the “Rider of the Day” based on the results of each race by participating in a survey on the official website.
This year, sixteen of the twenty-two drivers who started after 22 races were in the top five – all except Bottas, Stroll, Hulkenberg, Magnussen, de Vries and Sargent.
Last year, Lando Norris was usually voted ‘Racer of the Day’, but Max Verstapen was slightly ahead in the total number of votes cast.
