Williams has started counting down the days until the presentation

With less than a month to go until the unveiling of the FW46, Williams’ new car, the British team has started the countdown to this important event. An interesting photo has appeared on the official website, which is probably intended to create the right atmosphere and intrigue.

In December, Williams announced that the presentation would take place on February 5 and also indicated the location: New York. For several reasons, the team decided to follow the example of last year’s Red Bull Racing and AlphaTauri, who also started the season with a celebratory ceremony in the largest city in the United States.

Firstly, the owners of Williams are the American investment fund Dorilton Capital, whose office is located in New York, secondly, Logan Sargent is the only representative of the US in Formula 1, thirdly, three Grand Prix already take place in this country , and the championship’s popularity abroad continues to grow.

Considering that the presentation will take place in early February, it is unlikely that the team will present a new car there – as usual, intensive work on the FW46 will continue until the pre-season testing, and in New York we will only have will see the updated war paint, and key Williams figures, management representatives and drivers will speak to the public and press.

“There is still a month to go until our presentation dedicated to the start of the 2024 season,” the press service of the team from Grove recalled to the fans. – And we would really like you to take part in this historic event too.

Our new campaign will officially launch on Monday, February 5 with a special ceremony in New York City. To stay up to date with all the important details regarding the presentation, download the official Williams Racing app if you haven’t already done so.”

The 2024 car will be the first chassis to be developed under James Vowles, with Pat Fry taking over as technical director last November. Although he joined FW46 in the final stages and has limited influence on the project, he emphasized that the team is making rapid progress:

“I think this team is moving forward. There is no point in hiding the fact that there are still mountains of work ahead of us, and that there are still many areas where improvements need to be achieved. But I think everyone can see that what sets the team apart is its determination. This attitude has to come from management, and in the case of Williams this is exactly the case. And people see that we are moving forward.”
