Mercedes congratulated Sir Lewis on his birthday

The Mercedes team wished Lewis Hamilton a happy birthday – he turned 39 today, but he is still in enviable form, as confirmed by his results last year. In 2023 he took 3rd place in the individual championship, and this despite the fact that the W14 car was not particularly fast or predictable on the track, and Lewis did not hide that he did not like it.

Clearly, by Hamilton’s standards, third place is a poor performance, and last season was another one in which he failed to take a single victory but still finished on the podium six times. Actually seven, except he got disqualified in Austin, but that’s another story.

The team has created a special card for Lewis, and the figurative commentary that accompanies it is not so easy to translate accurately, but let’s try: “He is a seven-time world champion. He is the one who sets his own rules and calls for change. He is characterized by royal dignity. Congratulations Sir Lewis Hamilton!

Naturally, the McLaren team, where Lewis started his career in Formula 1 and made his debut in the championship in 2007, did not stand aside and immediately became vice-champion.

McLaren shared a selection of photos dating back to when Hamilton took his first World Championship victories and won his first title. Naturally, the photos are supplemented with warm wishes: “Congratulations, seven-time world champion! Thanks for all the memories! May today be a wonderful day, Sir Lewis!”

All we have to do is participate!
