We wrote about the reconstruction of the Monza circuit, where a lot has to be done in 140 days and 21 million euros. The President of the Italian Federation, Angelo Sticchi Damiani, listed the tasks to be solved.
Angelo Sticchi Damiani: “We cannot afford to lose Monza. Our main goal is to return the track to its previous level.
We can no longer afford to have problems with the flow of fans and must offer more comfort to those who come to the track. We have set ourselves three goals to best meet their needs, the first of which is underground passageways.
The second goal concerns the stands. We still have a few temporary structures left, instead we will build more durable structures that will provide all amenities in accordance with the expectations of the spectators. Each stand becomes an island containing all necessary facilities, so that the public does not have to move.
Third, a hard roof will appear over the boxes instead of a tension structure. As the structure grows, we will strengthen the supports.
We will also improve the drainage system and change the asphalt on the entire circle.”
