It’s no secret that Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda are keen to move from AlphaTauri to Red Bull Racing with the chance to win races. But AlphaTauri’s new CEO Peter Bayer urged them not to relax or they would lose what they already have.
Peter Bayer: “Within the Red Bull family we always expect a lot from our drivers. Everyone knows we can make a decision [о смене состава] if necessary during the season. This is very encouraging and gives strength to the team.
If a driver is successful in a youth team, it can pave the way for his future. We are now trying to get rid of this status, but we have many juniors who work very hard and do a great job, for example Liam Lawson.
Both of our riders know that if something doesn’t work out, Liam is always there. And they also know that if they succeed, an opportunity can arise. I encourage them not to relax, to focus on what is here and now, on the results in our team.”
