Before the start of the new season, two leading technical specialists have started working at McLaren. David Sanchez and Rob Marshall have moved to the British team as part of a major restructuring of McLaren’s engineering department.
Team manager Andrea Stella started implementing the restructuring last year. He dismissed James Key as technical director and divided his responsibilities among various specialists in the technical group.
Peter Prodromou has been promoted to technical director of aerodynamics. David Sanchez, returning from Ferrari, was given the position of technical director for the concept and development of the car.
The third member of the technical team was Rob Marshall, who worked for Red Bull Racing for 17 years and in recent years held the position of chief designer of the championship team.
Today, McLaren CEO Zak Brown posted a photo on social media of the team’s key technical specialists, including Sanchez and Marshall, who have already started their new duties.
