Head of the Mercedes Formula 1 team Toto Wolff announced that it had signed a new three-year contract.
The agreement with the 52-year-old Austrian civil servant, owner of the team’s shares, runs until the end of 2026.
“It’s important that the three of us (along with co-owners Jim Ratcliffe and Ola Kallenius) trust each other. As a shareholder, I want to get the maximum return on investment. And the best return is victory. I don’t think anyone will get more than me. I’m sure there are people around me who can tell me otherwise. Finally, the three of us decided, “Let’s do this again.” »
I am part of this team, occupying various functions. I am a co-owner and part of the management. These are things that will not change my executive or non-executive role. But I feel good,” Wolff told the Telegraph.
From 2014 to 2021, Mercedes regularly won the constructors’ championship and the team’s drivers, Britain’s Lewis Hamilton and Germany’s Nico Rosberg, became Formula 1 champions.
