Preparations for the new Formula 1 season are in full swing and the drivers have already been able to test the new cars on the simulator. British Sky Sports F1 commentator David Croft said Esteban Ocon shared his first impressions of the 2024 car after working on the simulator.
“Before the Christmas holidays, Esteban told me that the 2024 Alpine was slightly slower than its predecessor,” Croft said, without giving further details.
However, Ocon himself tries to remain optimistic: “We aim to close the gap with our rivals and become more competitive. The team is not going to start the season with a different mentality, otherwise we will never win.
I keep working as if every weekend I have a chance to win or get on the podium. My goal is to get the most out of the car every weekend.
I believe that if I keep working hard, one day my time will come and I will have a car in which I can win races and fight for the title. I look forward.”
