Alpine F1 has been expanding its base for several years and recruiting staff to reach the level of “big teams”. New buildings have been built in Enstone and new employees are being sought. In an interview with The Race, Otmar Szafnauer stated that the aim is to increase the workforce to 900 people.
Otmar Szafnauer: “We are still investing and expanding the team. We are going to hire 75 more people and now we have about 850 employees. To compete with the strongest teams, we have to match their level.
It’s not just about inviting employees. We want to find the right people with the right attitude and racing spirit.
We have our strengths. Competent employees. Our own wind tunnel, where only we work. Excellent infrastructure. Previously, we were inferior in some areas where the strongest teams had more knowledge and experience, and in these areas we need to find people with such knowledge. Now we are looking for them.”
