Dorian Pin admitted to Mercedes’ youth program

Dorian Pin has become a new member of the Mercedes youth program – the 20-year-old French driver will compete for Prema Racing in the women’s F1 Academy series with support from the Iron Dames project.

Dorian has long confirmed her talent for speed and became the French karting champion in 2019. In 2022 she won the European touring car series Ferrari Challenge – Trofeo Pirelli – after which she won nine of the fourteen races of the season.

But she stands out for her universal race preparation: last year she took 2nd place in Asian Formula 4. And her greatest fame came from her achievements in the World Endurance Championship: in 2023 she spent a season in the WEC, where she piloted was the Oreca 07 sports prototype Prema team in the same crew with Daniil Kvyat and Mikro Bortolotti.

Doric pin: “I am incredibly excited to be part of the Mercedes-AMG F1 Team youth program and will represent the team in the F1 Academy in 2024, driving for Prema Racing.

A new chapter is beginning for me and I am proud to take the next step in my career with this prestigious team and the Iron Dames project. I am grateful to everyone for their trust; it is a great honor for me to perform in Mercedes colours.

Moving into single-seater racing has been my goal and I plan to work hard to reach the highest level.”

Toto Wolff, Director and CEO of the Mercedes-AMG F1 Team: “Dorian is incredibly talented and we are excited to join her in the F1 Academy Series. We have watched her progress over the years and have always been impressed with her results.

With the support of Deborah Mayer and the Iron Dames project, Dorian was given the opportunity to show what she could do. Now, together with Iron Dames, Prema Racing and F1 Academy, we will help Dorian Pin take the next step in her career.”
