The McLaren team has unveiled the livery of its Formula 1 car for the 2024 season. The MCL38 will be finished in traditional papaya and anthracite colors with chrome accents. The official presentation of MCL38 is scheduled for February 14.
Zac Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing: “We are delighted to present the Formula 1 car livery for the 2024 season. It looks great and I can’t wait to see our car come to life on the track next month.
The start of the 2023 season did not go as we wanted, but Andrea Stella and his team have done a great job restructuring the team. The hard work continues and we want to get the 2024 campaign off to a good start.
I am confident that Lando and Oscar, our great duo, will continue to create memorable moments, just like in the second half of last season, when the team finished fourth in the Constructors’ Championship with 302 points. We continue to make progress in our mission to return to first place.
We look forward to realizing our ambitions. Our partners and incredible fans will play an integral role this season. We are grateful for their continued support and know that they also share our passion for success.”
Andrea Stella, team manager: “After a busy but productive off-season, we are ready for 2024 and the further path to return to the first positions. Over the past year, the team has built a strong foundation through hard work, determination, commitment and talent.
With our new improved infrastructure and new workforce, we will continue to raise standards and deliver high performance in everything we do.
The 2024 livery looks great and I can’t wait to see our great drivers Lando and Oscar take the MCL38 to the track next month.”
Lando Norris: “I’m looking forward to the new season, my sixth in Formula 1. I hope we can maintain the momentum the team achieved at the end of last season. The new livery, which incorporates some improvements from last year, looks great. I’m sure the fans will love it as much as I do.
Everyone at the base is working hard this season. I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the 2024 car and challenge my rivals for first place.”
Oscar Piastri: “The livery of the 2024 car looks cool and I’m looking forward to starting my second season in the iconic McLaren colours. I have great memories of my debut season, including two podium finishes and a sprint victory.
“I will continue to work hard with the team to maintain our strong results at the start of the season, compete with our opponents and provide the fans with unforgettable moments.”
