Possible route layout for Madrid published

We have already told you that the Spanish Grand Prix may be officially announced in Madrid next week. The Spanish Marca writes about the contract as a fait accompli and gives some details.

Contrary to other sources, which claim that the race on the new city circuit will take place in 2026, Marca mentions two possible dates: 2026 or 2027.

The contract to hold the stage is designed for 10 years and the Spanish capital expects the positive economic impact of the Grand Prix to reach 400 million euros every year. At the same time, no government money will be required to finance the project.

The newspaper also published a diagram of the city route noting that this is a possible option, while the final version should be presented at the presentation of the project on January 23. The ceremony is expected to be attended by Isabel Díaz Ayuso, president of the Autonomous Community of Madrid, mayor of the capital José Luis Martinez-Almeida and Formula 1 president Stefano Domenicali.
