An unpleasant incident with Charles Leclerc occurred on Monday evening in the Italian municipality of Viareggio. The Ferrari driver was dining at a local restaurant with friends and his coach when several people recognized him and asked for a photo.
Gradually, a fairly large crowd gathered around Leclerc wanting to take a photo as a memento, and at one point an unknown person managed to remove a collectible watch worth several tens of thousands of euros from the Ferrari racer’s wrist. At that point, when Charles discovered the loss, the thief had already fled. The cyclist contacted the police, who launched an investigation.
Charles Leclerc is not the first Formula 1 driver to have his luxury watch stolen. In 2010, Bernie Ecclestone was the victim of criminals who received several blows to the head. A few days later, Bernie appeared in an advertisement for a Hublot watch stolen from him during the attack.
