The Red Bull Racing team continues to lose engineers. In January, former chief designer of the championship team Rob Marshall started working at McLaren, and Andor Hegedush joined Aston Martin, responsible for organizing pit stops at Red Bull Racing and coordinating the work of mechanics.
As the Italian press learned, Red Bull Racing’s losses did not stop there. A number of more engineers signed a contract with Ferrari. Their names are not mentioned, but they should strengthen the Scuderia divisions responsible for car development, tire work and the simulator. In addition, several AlphaTauri specialists have started working in Maranello.
Ferrari team boss Frederic Vasseur managed to negotiate with Red Bull to shorten the period of mandatory leave for engineers when changing teams from one year to six months, allowing them to start their work at the Scuderia in January.
Of course, Red Bull did not meet Ferrari halfway. In response, the Italian team released Laurent Mekis, who took over as head of AlphaTauri on January 1.
