Ferrari today announced the extension of the contract with Charles Leclerc for a further number of seasons. The Monegasque will therefore certainly start in Formula 1 not only this season, but also next season.
In addition to Leclerc, there are five other drivers in Formula 1 whose contracts for 2025 have already been confirmed.
First of all, this is the current world champion Max Verstappen. His contract with Red Bull Racing does not expire until the end of 2028.
The Mercedes and McLaren teams will be fully staffed by 2025. Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have a contract with Mercedes until the end of 2025. Lando Norris has signed a contract with McLaren for the same period. His teammate Oscar Piastri will continue to play for the Woking team until at least the end of 2026.
Lance Stroll deserves a special mention. The Canadian driver drives for his father’s team, and Aston Martin has never officially announced the terms of Lance’s contract. It can be said with a high probability that Lance will start in 2025, unless he or his father decide otherwise.
