A network of Formula E karting tracks will be built in Saudi Arabia

This weekend the second round of the 10th season of the Electric Car Racing World Championship takes place in Saudi Arabia, and the country has announced the start of a strategic partnership with Formula E in the development of national motorsport.

Local company Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN) will build the world’s first network of indoor karting tracks under the Formula E brand, where of course only electric cars will drive. The license agreement between SEVEN and Formula E management has already been signed.

These kart tracks, with a track length of more than 400 meters, will appear for the first time in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Abha, each with a fleet of karts designed for different age groups and different levels of racing experience. In the future, it is planned to build 21 such facilities in 14 cities of the country.

Alberto Longo, co-founder and CEO of Formula E: “We are very pleased to partner with SEVEN, a leader in the entertainment industry in Saudi Arabia. Our aim is to increase the popularity of Formula E in this country, so that fans can experience what real racing is like through karting on kart tracks built by SEVEN.

“I am confident that this wonderful initiative will enhance Saudi Arabia’s ability to nurture young racing talent and create the conditions for a future world champion.”
