Oliver Berman and Arthur Leclerc strengthen Ferrari’s ranks

Maranello is preparing for the coming season: Ferrari Racing Academy student Oliver Berman, who drives for Prema in Formula 2, has become the Scuderia’s new reserve driver.

In 2024 he will have to work with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz and provide them with the necessary help and support. Oliver became the third reserve of the Formula 1 team – he will share these responsibilities with Robert Schwartzman and Antonio Giovinazi, and they in turn will combine them with achievements in the World Endurance Championship with the Ferrari 499 P hypercar.

Arthur Leclerc, Charles’ younger brother, will join Antonio Fuoco and Davide Rigon as another driver in charge of refining the car, mainly in the simulator.

Next week, Oliver and Arthur will drive the 2022 Ferrari F1-75 car in a private test in Barcelona. At the same circuit, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will test Pirelli tires during last year’s SF-23 on January 29 and 20. In addition, both will drive a certain number of laps in the F1-75, which is useful for quickly getting into shape after the winter break.
