Mark Hines returns to Hamilton’s team

In the spring of 2021, manager Mark Hines, who oversaw Lewis Hamilton’s business interests and logistics, parted ways with the driver to “pursue other things in motorsport”, but now they will work together again.

Previously, Hines was part of the Project 44 project, then Lewis collaborated with the Copper company, which gave birth to the project of a film about Formula 1 with the participation of Brad Pitt, but this contract also expired.

The British press writes that Hines’ return will focus exclusively on racing activities.

A company spokesperson said: “The agreement between Copper and Hamilton came to an end in December 2023, following the expiry of the stated period.

During this time, Penny and her team have supported Lewis’s entrepreneurial vision and together they have launched several exciting projects. Despite the end of his contract, Copper will continue to collaborate with Lewis on a number of his projects.

In the coming months, Lewis will expand his company, Project 44, founded in 2014, and announce new appointments as he continues to grow his business and investments.

Lewis is looking forward to the start of the new Formula 1 season and will be teaming up with old friend Mark Hines, whose experience and knowledge will help Lewis on the track. “Mark will focus solely on racing and supporting Lewis’ ambition to return to first place.”
