At the end of the 2024 season, the top five participants in the Women’s F1 Academy will receive Super License points.
The winner of the series will receive 10 points, the vice-champion and the pilot who takes third place will receive seven and five points respectively. Fourth place gets three points, and fifth place gets one point.
To obtain a super license, which gives you the right to participate in Formula 1, you must earn 40 points over three seasons.
In 2024, the Wild Card system will operate in some stages of the F1 Academy – the organizers will invite local drivers to spend a race weekend behind the wheel of the Prema team’s fourth car. Other details of the Wild Card system will be announced later.
In addition, from 2024 onwards, the rule will be introduced in the Sporting Regulations that a participant may stay at the F1 Academy for a maximum of two seasons.
Susie Wolff, Managing Director of F1 Academy: “After a successful first season, we are taking two important steps forward in 2024. The top five entrants will receive Super License points, which is testament to the strengthening of the F1 Academy’s position and will help further promote the entrants up the racing hierarchy.
The Wild Card scheme will support local talent, which is important for our long-term development, and ensure we create additional opportunities for women to participate in motorsport.”
