Williams boss James Vowles became the first official representative of any of the Formula 1 teams to comment on the growing scandal surrounding Christian Horner.
Charges of “improper conduct” have been filed against the head of Red Bull Racing. The details of the case are not known to the general public, but several sources report that there may be an “aggressive management style” of the team. Horner is expected to answer questions from attorneys next Friday.
Asked about the situation facing the Championship team boss, James Vowles said: “Charges have been laid but I’m afraid I don’t have any understanding of what is behind this case or what exactly happened there.
All I can say is that if something like this were to happen to our team, we would provide all possible support to resolve the situation and ensure that everyone was happy with the culture adopted within the team.
I think this means we all need to look at ourselves in the mirror and make sure we’re asking the right questions and acting in a way we can be proud of, not just today, but ten years from now.”
