Formula 2: Taylor Barnard signs with PHM

Taylor Barnard switches to Formula 2: The 19-year-old British driver has signed a contract with PHM Racing and thus fills the last vacancy in the teams of this youth series for next season.

Barnard has been with PHM since 2022 – in that season he became vice-champion of the German ADAC F4 series. In the winter of 2023, he took part in the Formula Regional Middle East (FRME) championship together with this team and again took second place in the individual competition, losing only to Andrea Kimi Antonelli.

Taylorn spent last season with Jenzer Motorsport in Formula 3, winning a rain race at the classic Belgian circuit in Spa and finishing 10th at the end of the year. This winter he competes again in FRME, he has three wins in nine races and is still in 2nd place in the individual rankings.

Taylor Barnard: “I am excited to take the next step on my career ladder, to get closer to my dream and of course I want to prepare for this as best I can, so for the sake of good results I will do everything in my power lies and even more.”

Taylor’s partner will be another newcomer, Joshua Duerksen – PHM Racing hopes that the new season will go better than the previous one, when they took the last, 11th place in the team standings. Then they were the only team that didn’t earn a single point at all.

Barnard also works with McLaren Racing as a reserve driver for the Formula E team.
