Former Formula 1 driver, Spaniard Mary, to perform at Future Games

Former Formula 1 driver, Spanish Roberto Meri will participate in the phygital race as part of the international multi-sport tournament “Future Games”, reports the press service of the World Youth Festival.

The competition will take place on March 2 and 3, 2024 at the Sochi Autodrom circuit. Phygital races will take place in the form of a mixed relay – pilots will have to complete the course not only on a real racing track, but also in a virtual flight simulator.

28 drivers from 15 countries will participate in the tournament. In addition to Mary, international winner Roman Rusinov, former participants of the Formula 3 championship Alexander Smolyar and Michael Belov, Russian circuit racing champion Irina Sidorkova and American Le Mans Series winner Luis Diaz from Mexico will take part in the races.

The “Games of the Future” will be held in Kazan from February 21 to March 3. The sports program includes competitions in 21 disciplines at 10 sports facilities in Kazan and Sochi. The opening ceremony will take place on February 21 and the closing ceremony of the competition will take place on March 3.

The “Games of the Future” will be broadcast on the channels of the sub-holding, as well as on streaming platforms.
