Alpine’s press office has published the technical specifications of the 2024 A524.
Chassis: Carbon fiber and composite monocoque designed by the Alpine F1 Team to withstand maximum loads while minimizing weight. The Renault E-Tech 2024 power plant serves as the power element.
Front suspension: The carbon fiber upper and lower control arms work together via a push system with a balancer in the machine’s body. The suspension is connected to the front of the monocoque with a torsion spring and shock absorbers. Aluminum struts and standard magnesium alloy wheels from BBS, standard wheel covers.
Rear suspension: Carbon fiber upper and lower control arms and links work together with torsion springs and transverse shock absorbers mounted in a carbon fiber body. Aluminum struts and standard magnesium alloy wheels from BBS, standard wheel covers.
Transmission and hydraulics: Semi-automatic transmission with eight gears, one reverse gear and Quickshift system, which allows you to minimize shift times. Differential with hydraulic control system. Hydraulic systems related to the drivetrain, steering, DRS and clutch.
Fuel system: Kevlar reinforced certified rubber fuel tank with integrated primary fuel pump.
Electronics: Standard electronic control unit manufactured by MES-Microsoft.
Brake system: Carbon discs and brake pads. Brake calipers and master cylinders, fully integrated Brake-by-Wire system.
Fairing: Removable anatomically shaped carbon fiber racer seat, six-point harness – total weight of the unit including ballast is maximum 80 kg. Steering wheel with shift paddles, clutch paddles, DRS and display.
Total weight: 798 kg with rider, tubes and ballast
