Nowadays it’s not just Formula 1 teams that make their presentations; the organizers of the Las Vegas Grand Prix have now decided to present a special livery of the show car, dedicated to the 2024 race. This layout, designed in black and red with white elements, will be used all year round in different types of advertising campaigns.
The promoters of the third American race announced the news in advance, but did not reveal its essence, and when a video of the show car painted in a new way was made public, it caused a mixed reaction from fans.
And it’s not even that anyone didn’t like the car’s paint scheme, although there were some. Judging from the reactions on social networks, the public is disappointed with the position of the promoters, who appear to have no plans to compensate fans for spoiling the mood on the first day of the debut race weekend in Las Vegas. Then the first session, which was held late on Thursday evening due to force majeure, lasted less than ten minutes, after which there was a very long break and the audience was asked to leave the stands.
Moreover, the race organizers did not even consider it necessary to apologize and only offered vouchers for the purchase of souvenirs. We wrote about a class action lawsuit against Liberty Media filed by fans of the state of Nevada – the fate of this lawsuit is not yet clear, and many of them responded to the news of the show car as follows: “Is that all?! ! What about my compensation?
Here’s another option: “When are you going to give me my money back for the madhouse on the track that happened on the first day of the weekend?”
And someone simply did not hold back: “99% of people in Las Vegas don’t care about you at all, only 1% of the rich are interested…!”
The last word in this angry comment falls into the category of obscene language, so we will refrain from literal quotes, but the gist is clear.
