Christian Horner will attend a hearing on misconduct allegations today. The head of Red Bull Racing denies everything and has hired lawyers to represent him during the hearings.
The meeting was initially expected to take place at the Red Bull Racing base in Milton Keynes, but The Times claims it could be moved to London given increased press interest in the matter. Presumably the complaint against Christian Horner came from one of the team’s employees, who had already been questioned and provided evidence of her words.
An independent lawyer is expected to review both sides’ arguments and advise the company’s management early next week on how to proceed. Red Bull is reportedly trying to resolve the issue as quickly as possible so that it does not overshadow the presentation of the new RB20 car, scheduled for February 15.
Previously, the British press wrote that if the decision is made to fire Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing chief designer Adrian Newey will also leave the championship team. However, Speedcafe reports, citing its sources, that Newey has already confirmed to the team that he will remain in Milton Keynes regardless of the outcome of the Horner case.
