Watch stolen from Leclerc found in Spain

In April, Charles Leclerc fell victim to criminals and lost his signature Richard Mille watch, which costs absolutely fantastic money: if it was initially reported that the market value of the masterpiece of the Swiss company is more than 300 thousand euros, they are already writing about 2 million.

We talked about that unpleasant story that happened before the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, and now, three months later, the sequel appeared in the Italian press: the Naples police said they knew the identity of the criminals, as well as the person who bought the stolen watch.

According to the newspaper Il Mattino, the investigation is being led by Raffaele Giardiello, deputy police commissioner, who shared some details.

The criminals who took possession of the Richard Mille RM 67-02 watch, released in a limited edition, immediately ran into a problem: it turned out that it was almost impossible to sell the rarity, also because the name of the owner, a Ferrari racer, is engraved on the watch with a special technology.

These three Italian thieves are well known in both the criminal circles of Naples and the police, and they mostly hunted on the roads of southern Italy, preying on foreigners traveling in expensive sports cars. When they realized that it would not be possible to sell the stolen goods at the price they had originally asked for, they had to significantly reduce it, and as a result, a certain Spanish businessman got the watch for “only” 200 thousand euros.

Admittedly, while police are reporting neither the names of the criminals nor the further fate of Leclerc’s luxury item.
