Mike Krak, Team Leader: “We are excited to introduce the new AMR24, the result of the hard work of the entire team at our new AMR Technology Campus. I am sure she will enable us to take the next step forward.
After finishing the last race of last season we focused on improving in all areas, focusing on the areas that really matter. Every detail of the car has been refined and improved, building on our strengths and taking into account the lessons learned from last season.
2023 has been our best season yet and our aim this season is to score points regularly, get on the podium and fight for our first win.”
The AMR24 was the first car built at the new Silverstone base. The philosophy of last year’s car has been retained, but many parts have been optimized to make the car more efficient, lighter and faster.
Then Fallows, technical director: “Even with stable regulations, there are countless opportunities to improve the machine. I’d say the AMR24 is a very significant upgrade over last year’s chassis, and even the cosmetic differences are quite noticeable.
We focused on all areas of aerodynamics and also worked on some chassis components. There are many new parts and we have been given a very high-quality basis for further refinement. The chassis design is new and the nose cone, front fender and front and rear suspension have also been updated. We want to be in the upgrade race this season and the AMR24 is designed for exactly that.
Another area we have paid special attention to is expanding the range of optimal machine settings. We tried to ensure that it could work effectively on tracks with a variety of functions and features. We want our racing car to be more versatile.
We believe that with the AMR24 we have an ideal platform for modernization, which we will do throughout the season, and that the new car will allow us to fight for high results throughout the championship.
This is the first car to be built at Aston Martin’s new technology campus in Silverstone, and that’s a big deal too. Now here, at the team base, we have all the necessary production equipment that we did not have before.
All offices of the engineering department are located here and specialists from the different divisions can communicate much more effectively during the work process. This allowed us to act more coherently and coherently, and we hope that it has allowed us to build a faster car.”
The composition of the team has not changed; Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll will take the wheel again in 2024.
Fernando Alonso: “I am incredibly proud of the team and what we have achieved in a short time. It is not just about progress on the track, but also about investments in all areas, especially in the new base.
I have always enjoyed the feeling of starting a new campaign – this year marks my 21st season as a Formula 1 driver. The entire team has worked hard to prepare the AMR24 for the new season, but there are still many questions. answered, we will get it in tests and in the first races.
I’m looking forward to getting back into the cockpit and starting my second season in green.”
Lance walk: “There is real excitement on our base this winter. We are still a young team, but we are growing quickly. Walking around the campus, you feel a hunger for victories and confidence in success – this is the merit of all our specialists. We all want to build on last year’s successes. I’m looking forward to the start of the season.”
