Horner: Of course I deny all allegations

In an interview with Sky Sports, Christian Horner said that the team’s work continues as usual, despite the specific conditions under which the presentation of the new Red Bull Racing car took place. Christian Horner: No, the work continues as usual. The investigation is indeed still ongoing, but I of course completely deny all allegations made against me. Obviously, I am participating in this process and hope that it will be completed in the near future.

Q: Do you regret that this story went public and that the team is now receiving so much attention?
Christian Horner: Of course, such stories are always unpleasant, but we have a strong and united team, and today is a very important day when we announce the start of a new season.

Question: Of course, we cannot talk about the details of the investigation, but according to rumors, friction has arisen between you and the Austrian management of the Red Bull company, a struggle for power would take place – can you clarify something, is Is this true, at least to some extent?
Christian Horner: You know, we are one team, one collective, and the company’s shareholders give us great support. Without this support, nothing at all would have happened. So this is not true.

I built this team, I convinced people to come and work here, and working with our team and these people gives me pleasure. People are her most important asset.

Question: In the context of this story, Verstappen’s entourage is mentioned, including his father Jos. and Max himself. Are you saying that there are no problems at all in your relationship with them?
Christian Horner: No, in principle there is no such thing. We met Jos and Max a few days ago at Silverstone, Max is completely focused on his work and I look forward to continuing to work with him next season.

Q: But when stories like that happen, people start talking about all kinds of rumors…
Christian Horner: People always talk about rumors, that’s inevitable, but we were and remain a united team and that won’t change.

Q: Finally, do you have any idea when this could all end?
Christian Horner: There is a certain process going on, and that must of course be taken into account. I hope this won’t drag on for too long.
